Looking for 1 person to help get my Morgan 33 sloop from San Diego to La Paz, Mexico. See attached photo or email request for it. Hoping to leave, weather permitting, near March 1, 2012. Need someone, non-smoker, with at least basic cruising sailing knowledge. We sail sober until anchored. This boat is decently equipped for the La Paz run: radar, SSB, nav & comm. gear, tiller pilot, Monitor wind vane, 3 anchors/rode, 30hp diesel, 60 gals fuel capacity, inflatable dinghy/4hp ob, solar panel, and inverter. I am recently retired and made this trip on another boat last Oct/Nov. Estimate 10-14 days as I plan to stop at several locations (at least Turtle Bay and Bahia Santa Maria) and surf several spots as conditions permit. Will avoid all bad weather and sail more than motoring. Consider this a cruise, not a delivery. Enjoyment takes priority. You’ll be expected to share in the cost of fuel and food. I will want you to come on board for a “compatability” sail in advance. This could be a day or overnight sail in or near San Diego. If interested, contact Dave @ surforcycle@gmail.com or call 831-251-2511.

We have been sailing a Beneteau 40.7 out of SWYC for five years. We are now looking to fill out our core crew with folks that enjoy Club and Distance racing. Our boat is technically intersting, fast when sailed well with a PHRF rating of 54. We are looking for moderately experienced sailors willing to commit about two days per month to making our both fast and fun. We tend to rotate positions so all round sailors who are comfortable with jib / spin set and trim are best. If you want to work foredeck we can train you with people who know their stuff. We are an EO M/F boat - its all about friends and fun.
