Hello all – I’ve relocated to San Diego from the Bay Area (previously Washington DC and North Carolina) where I crewed for day sails. I’m looking to get back into day sails and gain race experience. I have obtained US Sailing Certifications for small boat and keelboat. Sailing experience from 2017-present includes crewing on the Rhode River/Chesapeake Bay (Seafarer 37), Anacostia River (Catalina 25), Potomac River (Flying Scot 19), SF Bay (Jeanneaus 37/45), and San Diego Bay (Kirby 30 & Beneteau f44.7). My race experience is minimal (a few beer can races, the 2021 Beneteau Cup, and several of the 2022 Frostbite J/22 races at SDYC) but I have done spinnaker and pit (and been rail meat of course). I was practicing on the bow which I liked a lot but never raced at that position. Basically I’ll do whatever! I really want to learn and have a consistent, friendly, relaxed boat on which to do so. Although I am a beginner, I take crewing seriously and am ultimately looking to improve my general sailing skills.
